ZREO Second Quest Announces “Twilight Symphony Selections”

September 13, 2022, SACRAMENTO, CA, — ZREO: Second Quest presents ZREO Legacy: Twilight Symphony Selections. This curated remastering of Zelda Reorchestrated’s Twilight Symphony features 26 tracks and has been optimized for modern streaming services. Now, for the first time ever, ZREO Legacy: Twilight Symphony Selections is available for streaming on all major platforms.

Founded in 2004, Zelda Reorchestrated created virtual performances of music from The Legend of Zelda as it would have sounded with the warm halls and intimate expression of live players. Twilight Symphony was the team’s largest and most ambitious project, which amassed a dedicated following throughout the years.

Originally announced in 2010, Twilight Symphony was successfully crowdfunded via Kickstarter in 2011. Using Kickstarter funds, the team worked with famed sound engineer John Kurlander and award-winning vocal conductor Tim Davis to finish the album with a 29-member choir.

ZREO Legacy: Twilight Symphony Selections is now available for streaming and purchase on SpotifyApple Music/iTunes, Youtube Music, Amazon, Tidal, Deezer, and Pandora.

Jeron Moore worked as executive producer and creative director for Twilight Symphony. Jeron’s other projects included The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary Symphony, the orchestral recording that shipped with The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, and Nintendo’s official touring concert series, The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses.

Wayne Strange served as lead arranger and co-producer, working tirelessly to ensure the faithfulness and authenticity of the arrangements contained on Twilight Symphony. Professionally, Wayne contributed score preparation on an array of game titles such as Aliens: Colonial Marines and God of War: Ascension. Wayne also served as an additional arranger and music assistant on The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary Symphony and The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses.

Tim Stoney arranged over an hour of music for Twilight Symphony. Combining both his passion for music and gaming, he had the opportunity to work as a music assistant on the official touring concert series, The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses, as well as The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary Symphony.

ZREO Studios was founded in September 2020, and incorporated in July 2021 as a collaborative musical group that creates thoughtful interpretations of popular video game music while committing to musicianship and production value. ZREO: Second Quest is the first major musical project of the studio.

Samuel Ferrara, Co-Founder, CEO, is a musician, virtual instrument programmer, editor, mix engineer, and producer. Ferrara has spent most of his professional career between mediums – music, sound, photography, and videography. In 2004, he created the ambitious project Zelda Reorchestrated, intending to recreate the soundtracks to the entire Legend of Zelda™ series. During Twilight Symphony’s production, Sam was responsible for most of the album’s virtual instrument and sample programming, as well as the final mixing for each track. Since then, he has perfected his craft in virtual orchestral mockups and orchestrations.
