Picture Post: If I had to pick a favorite section of the Rose Garden, I think I’d give it to the Shakespeare Garden. It kind of reminds of the St. Kilda Botanical Gardens I’d walk through every day back in Melbourne.

Picture Post: Portland’s 96 might not be a tram like it was in Melbourne, but the Riverplace section of it still reminds me a little of St. Kilda.

Picture Post: 11 years ago today (it’s 4 November in Melbourne), the first of Melbourne’s E-Class trams entered revenue service, forever changing the way I would look at public transport.

At the time, there was nothing else like it in the US and to some extent, there still isn’t.
