Edit: As you may have likely guessed by now, this post was the April Fools Day joke for this year. We are not changing our name and the site has now been restored to normal. We will be continuing to update the site theme in phases that should be complete by the end of the month. We do not expect to have any major changes in site functionality.
Today, I’m very excited to announce the new name of The France Hopper Network. This was no easy decision to make and it is one that has been in the works for a number of months now. After careful consideration, I’ve decided the new name for The France Hopper Network will be Meeplet Productions. Why Meeplet Productions? Here are just a few reasons:
- The France Hopper Network was just too long of a name.
- I’ve grown tired of using France Hopper as my alias.
- Meeplet is the name of one of my cats. Studies have shown cats are generally liked on the internet and are good for traffic.
- It wasn’t already taken.
- Meeplet is called Meeplet because she meeps rather than meows. It’s rather entertaining.
Rebranding is going to take a long time, but I believe it’s what’s best for the site going forward. I expect full rebranding to be complete my April 1st, 2013. In the mean time, please excuse any cat litter scattered about.
