While I’ve only been a member since 2016, having gone through some of the garden’s best times and worst times, Steve has absolutely been a key part in making the garden in to what it is today: one of the most important cultural assets in the world. The garden will miss you, Steve, but you’ve more than earned your retirement. Best of luck on your next project: renovating one of Japan’s many akiya.
