About Us

You have questions. We [hopefully] have answers.

What is Hopper Books & Media?

At Hopper Books & Media, we specialize in anime, manga, books, music, movies, and more from Japan.
We hope you find what you're looking for!

So what do you carry?

We don't actually ship any products ourselves, nor do we handle your billing information. In fact, we never actually any see any personal information about you.

So how does that work?

We've partnered with three stores we've done business with for several years on a personal level. Over those years, they have gained our trust, and our highest level of recommendation. Our partners are: RightStuf!, located in the US; CD Japan, located in Japan; and J-List, located in both Japan and the US.

Why those three partners?

We've chosen these partners because they specialize in items from Japan, have proven track records, and have pricing we believe is fair. Furthermore, they all have their own area of speciality. You might notice all three may carry the same product, but at different prices. We give you the choice of deciding who you'd like to purchase from (be sure to factor in shipping costs!)

What's in it for us?

We receive a small commission (about 10%) on your purchase. We receive a weekly or monthly (depending on our partner) report on sales, which groups all sales together. We'll see what was bought or looked at (depending on our partners' systems), but we won't see when, nor by whom.

Why are we doing this?

We hope that we can have the oppertunity to introduce you to a company who will earn your trust as they have done with ours. In the cases of CD Japan and J-List, we want to show that purchasing goods from Japan is not a difficult task.
